Abraham S. Berman was born on 20 May 1921 in New York. He earned his B.ChE. degree from the College of the City of New York (now known as City College, New York) in 1942. His Ph.D. was awarded by Ohio State University in 1949. In 1950, Dr. Berman joined Union Carbide Company (Oak Ridge, Tennessee) to work on uranium isotope separation used for nuclear energy. In 1966, he joined the faculty at the University of Minnesota as professor of aerospace engineering and mechanics. Abraham Berman died in ...
